Social Media Influencer Launches High-Value Raffle for Hospice Support

Henry Moores, a social media personality from Bollington who gained fame by walking to Ibiza in flip flops, is now channeling his influence to benefit East Cheshire Hospice. He has organized a competition on his website featuring a classic ladies' Rolex watch valued at £7,000 as the grand prize.

Raffle Details and Charitable Partnership

Tickets for the raffle are priced at 99p each and can be purchased through winzocomps.com until March 29. The initiative is run in collaboration with the fundraising group What Women Want, with all profits being donated directly to the Hospice. Henry is actively promoting the raffle to his substantial following of 950,000 followers across social media platforms.

The steel and gold Rolex watch was sourced by PR Jones Jewellers, which operates shops in Macclesfield, Knutsford, and Nantwich. Michael Jones, the owner of the jewellers and a vice president of the Hospice, expressed his support for the cause.

Michael Jones stated: "The What Women Want group approached me for assistance, and I was happy to help. Over the past 15 years, they have raised an impressive £500,000 for the Hospice, which is truly fantastic. I feel very humble to have been able to support their efforts along the way."

Personal Connections to the Hospice

Henry's motivation for supporting East Cheshire Hospice is deeply personal. His aunt, Paula Gibney, works as a health care assistant for the Hospice @Home team. Additionally, late relatives George Layton and Christina Moores both received care from the charity, highlighting the vital role it plays in the community.

Henry Moores explained: "The Hospice relies heavily on fundraising to continue its essential work. Often, people only realize how crucial this support is when someone they know requires its care. I am hopeful that many will buy tickets for a chance to win this magnificent prize while contributing to a worthy cause."

Recalling the Iconic Journey to Ibiza

Henry's journey to Ibiza, which spanned 86 days, involved wearing out six pairs of flip flops. He completed the trip in style, wearing a suit during an eight-hour crossing in an inflatable towed by a boat. However, the experience was not without its challenges.

Henry recounted: "Sitting in a rubber ring for eight hours on the way to Ibiza was absolutely horrible. I had never felt so ill in my life. I was seasick the entire time, with salt constantly in my face throughout the crossing."

This raffle represents a creative and impactful way for Henry to leverage his unique story and social media presence to generate much-needed funds for East Cheshire Hospice, ensuring it can continue providing care and support to those in need.
