Stick 'n' Step Supporters Raise Nearly £6,000 Through Two Fundraising Events
Stick 'n' Step Supporters Raise Nearly £6,000

Supporters of Stick 'n' Step gathered earlier this month to participate in two major fundraising events, collectively raising nearly £6,000 to assist children with cerebral palsy.

Wirral Coastal Walk Success

A dedicated team of walkers took on the 20km Wirral Coastal Walk, raising over £2,000 for the charity's specialist services. Participants received goodie bags courtesy of Bond Turner Solicitors, and their enthusiasm was evident throughout the journey. Stick 'n' Step, which offers conductive education sessions for children with cerebral palsy, depends heavily on community fundraising to continue its life-changing work. Events like this not only raise essential funds but also increase awareness of the charity's impact.

Aalco – Liverpool Team Excels in Jubilee 10K

On the same day, six committed supporters from Aalco – Liverpool completed the Jubilee 10K and Half Marathon, raising an impressive £3,929. The challenge was inspired by Mark Smith, whose son Dominic attends Stick 'n' Step. Mark encouraged his colleagues to support the charity, and they rose to the occasion. Amy, sales team manager at Aalco, said: "Everybody made it over the finish line safe and well and absolutely smashed it! We are all so delighted with how much we raised, all for this amazing charity. We really hope this helps make a difference and we will be sure to do more fundraising in the future. Who knows, maybe a full marathon is on the cards!"

Community Spirit Shines

Together, these two events highlight the incredible generosity and community spirit of Stick 'n' Step's supporters. The funds raised will directly help children build strength, confidence, and independence through conductive education. Netty Doyle, regional fundraiser for Stick 'n' Step, added: "Aalco – Liverpool's team has shown outstanding commitment and enthusiasm for the cause. We are so grateful to each of our dedicated supporters who take on challenges like these to raise funds and awareness. Their efforts truly make a difference to the children and families we support."
