Employees from Taylor Wimpey South Midlands have raised over £5,000 for charity as part of the homebuilder’s annual fundraising initiative. Now in its 12th year, the Taylor Wimpey Challenge has collected more than £1.6 million for the Youth Adventure Trust (YAT) and other regional charities across the UK.
The Challenge Event
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, over 300 Taylor Wimpey employees formed 49 teams to complete a hike along the north Devon coastline. This was followed by a series of competitive creative and strategic tasks designed to test teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Funds Raised and Beneficiaries
The money raised by 14 staff members from Taylor Wimpey South Midlands will be donated to two charities: the Youth Adventure Trust, which supports vulnerable young people through outdoor adventures, and Harry’s Rainbow, a Milton Keynes-based charity that helps children and young people who have lost a parent or sibling.

Not only does it bring together employees from across the business, but more importantly, it raises a huge amount of money for extremely worthy charities. This year has been no different, and I’m extremely proud of our team for their effort in raising much-needed donations for the YAT and Harry’s Rainbow.”
Mark Davey, CEO at the Youth Adventure Trust, added: “It has been another fantastic year for the Taylor Wimpey Challenge, with all of the participants embracing the activities with camaraderie and a great sense of humour. As always, we’re very appreciative of their efforts in support of our mission to help young people fulfil their potential and lead positive lives. Funding from this year’s event will make a huge difference to us and we look forward to continuing our partnership into 2027.”
