Teacher's 30-Year Milestone: Mud Run for Birmingham Charity

Judith Holden, a dedicated teacher at Bromsgrove School, is marking three decades in the classroom by taking on a demanding muddy obstacle course to support a vital local cause. The Autumn Wolf Run, scheduled for September 13 at Offchurch Bury, will see Judith joined by more than 20 friends, family members, and former pupils, all eager to help raise £3,000 for the National Institute of Conductive Education (NICE).

Celebrating 30 Years with a Challenge

Judith's milestone anniversary coincides with the 15th anniversary of the West Midlands-born obstacle challenge. The team will tackle the signature 10km course, which features 30 obstacles across woodland, water, and mud. This event is not just a personal celebration but a collective effort to support NICE, a Birmingham-based charity that helps children and adults with movement disorders gain independence.

The Impact of NICE's Work

NICE provides a range of services, from helping a child take their first steps to supporting an adult recovering from a stroke. The demand for these life-changing services continues to grow across the region, making fundraising efforts like Judith's more critical than ever. According to Judith, "This challenge is more than just an adventure. It’s an opportunity to make a real difference for children and adults living with movement disorders in Birmingham. The need for support has never been greater, and every penny raised will help ensure that NICE can continue their incredible mission."
