A major transport firm based in Wolverhampton has delivered a huge boost to emergency services across the Midlands, after not only meeting but exceeding a significant three-year fundraising target.
Smashing the Target and Securing 24-Hour Care
Pallet-Track, which has its headquarters in the Black Country, has successfully raised an impressive £88,959 over the past three years to support the vital work of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. This staggering sum directly funded a Critical Care Car, a specialised vehicle that has been instrumental in enabling the charity to launch its recent 24-hour emergency coverage across the region.
By ensuring nighttime operations, this car guarantees that hospital-level medical intervention is available to the public at all hours, dramatically improving survival chances for critically ill patients.
A Renewed Commitment for the Future
Buoyed by this success, the palletised freight network has now pledged to raise a further £75,000 by 2028. This renewed three-year partnership aims to keep the essential Critical Care Car operational, bringing the company's total projected contribution to over £150,000.
The announcement followed a prestigious win for Pallet-Track at the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Saving Lives Charity Ball, where the firm was honoured with the ‘Corporate Partnership’ Award. This award recognises the exceptional dedication, initiative, and hard work of the company and its staff.
Driven by a Local Effort
Stuart Godman, CEO of Pallet-Track, expressed his pride in the team's efforts. "We’re delighted to have eclipsed our initial £75,000 goal and to have raised more than £88,000 to keep the Critical Care Car on the road for the past three years," he said. "We’re so dedicated to this cause that we have pledged to raise the same amount again to fund the car for another three years."
The fundraising drive was powered by a series of local events organised by the company and its network members. These included the firm’s annual awards gala, golf days, and a challenging hub-to-hub cycle ride. In 2025 alone, colleagues and partners showed incredible generosity, contributing £39,064 towards the final total.
Jon Cottrell, senior partnership executive for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, added: "We’re incredibly thankful to Pallet-Track for their continued support. Their fundraising achievement will keep our critical care car on the road for another three years, helping us deliver lifesaving care where it’s needed most."
Since its launch in 1991, the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has attended more than 80,000 missions across the UK's largest air ambulance operating region. Support from local businesses like Pallet-Track is crucial in allowing the service to provide the specialist care that gives patients the best possible chance of survival and recovery.
