Tumble Fire Station Car Wash Raises Over £1,300

Firefighters from Tumble Fire Station held a charity car wash at Leekes department store in Cross Hands on Saturday, June 20, raising over £1,300 for two important causes. The crew worked tirelessly throughout the day, washing vehicles and engaging with the community.

Funds Split Between Two Causes

The generous donations from attendees will be shared equally between Liwsi Our Brave Little Light and The Fire Fighters Charity. Two-year-old Liwsi lives with two extremely rare genetic conditions: Cri du Chat Syndrome and an Xq28 Duplication Translocation. Both conditions are rare individually, but having both together is so uncommon that Liwsi is believed to be the only known child in the world with this exact combination. She requires specialist treatments and equipment for her development and daily care.

Supporting Firefighters and Their Families

The Fire Fighters Charity delivers lifelong clinical care, physical rehabilitation, and mental health support to serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel and their families. Their work ensures those who protect others receive support during injury, illness, or hardship.
