Bike4Life 2026: Road Closures, Timings, Viewing Spots

Up to 3,500 motorbikes are expected to travel through Shropshire this weekend for the Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival, one of the UK's largest ride-outs and bike festivals. The event, now in its 14th year, attracts over 6,000 bikers and pillion riders and serves as the biggest annual fundraiser for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which attends two incidents involving motorcyclists every week on average.

When Is Bike4Life 2026?

The Bike4Life Ride Out and Festival takes place on Sunday, May 17. Bikers will set off from Shrewsbury Park & Ride on Meole Brace at 10:30 AM, embarking on a 26-mile route.

Road Closures

Restricted traffic movements will be in place around Meole Brace Island from 10:20 AM as the convoy sets off. All eastbound traffic will be stopped on the A5 at Dobbies, A5 at Emstrey, and A5 Preston roundabouts while the convoy passes. The A5 and M54, including eastbound entry slip roads, will be closed until the ride out clears.

Best Viewing Spots

Organisers encourage residents to choose safe viewing points. Bridges along the A5 and M54 offer good views of the thousands of motorcyclists roaring through the county.

Tickets are still available online. Prices are £15 for motorcyclists and £20 for a motorcyclist with a pillion for both the Ride Out and Festival.
