Antioch Christian Centre in Llanelli will mark three significant milestones with a free community celebration on Friday, August 7. The event, held at the Copperworks Road site from 10am to 2pm, celebrates 40 years since the church was founded, 30 years at its current location, and a decade under its current leadership team.
Free Attractions for All Ages
Families can enjoy complimentary access to the Crazy Maisie's soft play area, designed for children aged nine and under. Additional activities include face painting, crafts, and family cookalong sessions. Indoor sports, costumed princess meet-and-greets, and free refreshments at the on-site cafe will also be available.
Transformation from Derelict Factory to Community Hub
Senior church leader Ben Taylor reflected on the centre's journey: 'I have the privilege of reflecting on what has been an incredible journey. This building stands as a testament to what can be achieved when people come together with a shared vision of hope, service and community.' He added, 'What was once a derelict factory has, through God's faithfulness and the dedication of the congregation alongside the support of the wider community, been transformed into a thriving community centre that serves people from across the area.'

Taylor emphasised that the Funday is an opportunity to express gratitude: 'The Funday is an opportunity not only to celebrate this important milestone, but also to say thank you to everyone who has played a part in the story of Antioch Church over the past 30 years.' He described the event as 'a joyful occasion that recognises God's goodness and looks forward with hope to all that lies ahead.' The centre warmly invites all residents to join the celebration.
