New Free Advocacy Service Launches for Bradford's Children and Young People
Free Advocacy Service for Bradford's Youth Launches

A new free service has been launched to ensure that children and young people in Bradford can have their voices heard in decisions regarding their health, care, and overall wellbeing. This initiative is delivered by the national charity VoiceAbility in partnership with the Bradford Children and Families Trust.

Support for Children in Care and Care Leavers

The service offers independent advocacy support specifically tailored for children in care, care leavers up to the age of 25, and other eligible young people. It is a child-led service designed to empower young individuals by helping them understand their rights, providing support during meetings, and assisting with the process of making complaints when necessary.

Empowering Young Voices

Emily Johnston, operations manager for the North at VoiceAbility, expressed her enthusiasm: “We’re delighted to be working with Bradford Children and Families Trust so we can reach as many children and young people as possible who need our services.” The Bradford Children and Families Trust has underscored the critical role of advocacy in enabling young people to articulate their views and actively participate in decisions that impact their lives.
