Police are offering a £10,000 reward through Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest of Mohammed Rasauli, a 22-year-old man wanted on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Rasauli has known links to Birmingham and may be hiding in the city, according to Sussex Police.
Fatal Crash on the A27
The appeal follows the death of 20-year-old hairdresser Amber Street, from Sidlesham, West Sussex. She was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a three-vehicle collision on the A27 near Arundel in Sussex. The crash happened at around 11.15pm on Wednesday, July 15, and three other people were also injured.
Despite ongoing enquiries, Rasauli has not yet been traced. Crimestoppers believe he may have connections who could provide him with accommodation, travel, and financial support, helping him to remain hidden. His known links include West Sussex, particularly Brighton, as well as London and Birmingham, or he may have travelled abroad.
Family's Heartbreaking Appeal
Amber's parents, Emily Barr and Ben Street, have issued an emotional plea for information. They said: "Every morning, we wake up with the indescribable pain of losing Amber so young and so suddenly."
"Not a second goes by when we aren't grieving the loss of our kind, funny, beautiful girl. Our lives will never be the same again. The devastation and the reality of what has been taken from us will never leave, but bringing justice for Amber will give some sense of peace in the face of this devastation."
They added: "We know there are people out there who have information, and we are asking you to search your conscience and come forward— even the smallest detail could help to bring some closure for Amber's loved ones. If you know something and have stayed silent, please think about the impact that silence has on our family."
Crimestoppers Urges Anonymous Tips
Annabelle Goodenough, South Central East Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, said: "Amber was a much-loved daughter and friend whose life was cut short in the most tragic of circumstances. Her family have shown incredible strength, but nearly two months on, they are still waiting for the person responsible to be found."
"Somebody, somewhere, knows where Mohammed Rasauli is. Perhaps you've heard him mentioned, seen him staying somewhere he shouldn't be, or know someone who has helped him keep out of sight. You can tell our charity what you know, 100 per cent anonymously, and that information could be the missing piece that finally brings him to justice."
Anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their website, with the £10,000 reward available for information leading to Rasauli's arrest.
