Young leaders in Rossendale are taking charge of local safety as the 1969 Squadron Air Cadets join forces with Community First Responders to install a life-saving defibrillator in the heart of Rawtenstall. Through a successful bag-pack event that raised hundreds of pounds and an upcoming charity banquet, these dedicated youngsters are proving that community spirit is the best medicine for the Valley.
Bag-Pack Success
Recently, the Squadron Cadets spent a day at Rawtenstall Tesco, helping customers by packing their shopping bags. Their efforts were met with incredible support from the public, raising nearly £500 in a single day. Organisers extend their sincere thanks to the young Cadets who attended and to the Squadron Officers for their time and commitment.
Defibrillator Location
Once sufficient funds are raised, the new defibrillator unit is slated for installation at The Kashmir restaurant on Burnley Road, Rawtenstall. The community is now invited to keep the momentum going with a special evening of food and fundraising.
