Birmingham Predator Faces Lengthy Sentence for Snatching and Assaulting Child
Mohammed Abdulraziq, a 32-year-old Sudanese national, is expected to receive a long prison sentence today at Birmingham Crown Court for a horrific crime involving a five-year-old girl. The incident occurred in the Winson Green area, where Abdulraziq snatched the child off the street with the intent to commit a sexual offence.
Details of the Disturbing Incident
On March 30 last year, at approximately 2pm, Abdulraziq took the girl into his room at a shared house in Winson Green after consuming beer and smoking mamba. The distraught mother of the child frantically searched the street, eventually hearing cries emanating from inside a property. In a desperate attempt to rescue the girl, her friend partially climbed through an open ground-floor window, only to witness Abdulraziq standing next to the child with both their shorts pulled down.
The door was forcibly opened, leading to the girl's immediate rescue. Following a trial, Abdulraziq was found guilty of false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence and sexual assault. Additionally, he was convicted of assaulting the woman who bravely climbed through the window to intervene.
