A 76-year-old pensioner has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a six-car collision on Oakenshaw Road in Shirley, Solihull, outside Sears Retail Park. The incident occurred shortly after 5.30pm on Friday, September 4, and no serious injuries were reported.

West Midlands Police confirmed that officers were called to the scene just after 5.30pm. A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to Oakenshaw Road, Shirley, just after 5.30pm yesterday to a collision involving six vehicles. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured."
The 76-year-old man was taken into custody for questioning and later bailed pending further police enquiries. The spokesperson added: "A 76-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He has been bailed pending further enquiries."
