Police have launched a public appeal to trace three individuals following a pickpocketing incident on a street in Wolverhampton.

CCTV images released in connection with theft

West Midlands Police have issued a CCTV appeal and published images of two women and a man they wish to speak to. The trio are pictured together inside a shop. Officers believe they may have information regarding a theft that occurred on Raglan Street in Wolverhampton.

Details of the Wolverhampton street theft

The offence took place at around 3.45pm on Thursday, 4 December. A thief, or thieves, stole bank cards and a mobile phone from the victim's coat. The force has confirmed the incident is being investigated as a pickpocketing offence.

In a statement, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We want to speak to these three after bank cards and a mobile phone were stolen in Wolverhampton. They were taken from the coat of the victim in Raglan Street at around 3.45pm on 4 December.”

Descriptions of the three people sought

The police have provided descriptions of the individuals shown in the released CCTV stills:

  • The first woman is described as white, wearing a grey or blue beanie hat with a black coat and top.
  • The second woman is also white, with blonde hair showing dark roots. She was wearing a light-coloured, possibly beige, coat with a hood over a grey top.
  • The man is white and has a beard. He was pictured in a dark-coloured hat and a black coat over a top with a white collar.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognises the people in the images, or who has any other information about the incident, to come forward.
