A former Staffordshire Police officer is set to appear in court next month after being charged with corruption. The charge follows an investigation by the force's own Anti-Corruption Unit.

Howard Bradley, aged 27 and residing in Doveridge, Derbyshire, has been charged with corrupt or improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable. He is scheduled to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Sunday, 28 July.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police confirmed the charge, stating: "A former police officer has been charged following an investigation by our Anti-Corruption Unit. Howard Bradley, 27, of Doveridge, Derbyshire, has been charged with corrupt/improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable. He is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 28 July."
