A 66-year-old man has tragically died following a single-vehicle crash in Halesowen, with police now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to aid their investigation.
The incident occurred on Manor Way at approximately 2:20pm on Wednesday, June 17. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after reports of an overturned car. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the man, who was the driver, with serious injuries.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene. West Midlands Police have confirmed that his family has been informed and is receiving support during this difficult time.
Police Investigation Underway
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now leading enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of the collision. Officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We are appealing for information after a man sadly died in a collision in Halesowen. We were called to Manor Way at around 2:20pm yesterday (Wednesday) to reports of a single-vehicle collision. A 66-year-old man, the driver of the car, was found seriously injured. Officers attended alongside ambulance colleagues but despite their best efforts, the man sadly died at the scene."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: "Upon arrival, ambulance staff discovered one patient, a man, who had suffered serious injuries in the incident. Crews immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
