Two men have been arrested after a man was shot in the leg in broad daylight near a Brierley Hill pub on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred in Amblecote Road, close to Deeley Street, shortly after 2pm on 15 August.
Disorder Leads to Shooting
West Midlands Police were called to reports of disorder in the area at just after 2.05pm. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital, where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The car park of the Corn Exchange pub was cordoned off as police investigated the scene. Several officers remained on site for some time.
Arrests and Investigation
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: "We were called to disorder in Amblecote Road, Brierley Hill, at just after 2.05pm today (15 August). A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the leg. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
