Staffordshire Police are investigating after a mum was reportedly grabbed by a man while walking through an estate in Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, with her daughter.
The incident took place on Beverley Drive, near its junction with Frodingham Road, at around 7.10pm on Sunday, September 13. The woman was walking her dog at the time.
According to a spokesperson for the force, an unknown man approached the woman, grabbed her around the waist and shouted at her. She managed to push him away, and he then walked off in the direction of The Beverley pub.
Police statement on the ordeal
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told StokeonTrentLive: "A woman was approached by an unknown man. She was with her daughter and dog. The man grabbed the woman around the waist and shouted at her before she pushed him away and walked off. The man left the area in the direction of The Beverley pub."
Police confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
Description of the man
Officers have released a description of the man. He is described as white, around 6ft tall, and of stocky build. He was wearing a blue top with long sleeves, a blue tracksuit top, and a navy blue baseball cap.
Appeal for witnesses and footage
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to come forward. Anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote incident 681 of September 13.
