A pizza delivery driver in Sutton Coldfield foiled an attempted car theft after doorbell camera footage showed him sprinting back to his vehicle. The incident occurred on Chester Road, Streetly, near Sutton Coldfield, on Friday, October 2.
The driver was dropping off pizzas from Papa John’s when he was alerted to a suspicious figure approaching his car, which was parked at the end of a customer's drive. Doorbell video captured the moment he bolted back to his motor and got in the passenger side.

According to witnesses, the delivery man spotted a shadowy figure approach his car. The footage shows a man dressed all in black running over to the vehicle before fleeing back to a waiting car as the driver returned. The driver then calmly walked back to the customer's front door and handed over the pizzas.
At that moment, the householder asked, “What happened?” and the delivery driver replied, “They just tried to steal my car.” BirminghamLive has blurred the driver's face in the video to protect his privacy.
