Armed police are searching for a suspected knifeman after a woman was stabbed inside a house in Norton Canes this morning. The victim suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital following the attack on Hawthorn Drive.
Incident Details
Staffordshire Police were called at 8:50 am on Friday, July 3, to reports of a stabbing. The suspect, described as a white man in his late 40s, is believed to be known to the victim. He fled the scene on foot after the attack.
The man was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, black trainers, and black socks. Officers, including firearms units, are conducting an extensive search of the area.
Police Appeal
A force spokesperson said: "We are investigating after a woman was stabbed inside a house in Norton Canes. We were called at 8.50am this morning to reports a woman had been stabbed by a man, who is known to her, inside a house on Hawthorn Drive. The man then left the house. The woman has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Officers, including firearms officers, attended the house and are currently searching for the man. He is described as white, in his late 40s, wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, black trainers and black socks."
