A 19-year-old man has been left with multiple facial fractures following an alleged attack in the Midlands, requiring surgery. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30am on April 11 in Park Hall Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the assault, who is currently on police bail. Detectives are now urging any witnesses to come forward, particularly a group of young people who may have witnessed part of the incident.
DC Abbie Roberts of Nottinghamshire Police said: "The victim in this case suffered significant injuries which have left him needing surgery. We are determined to get him the justice he deserves and have already arrested a suspect. We believe, however, that there were additional witnesses to this attack who have yet to come forward."
She added: "It is important they know just how serious this assault was and the impact it has had on the victim. So, if you saw or heard what happened please do the right thing and come forward as soon as possible."
