Violent Altercation on Late-Night Train Service
A late-night train journey in Kent turned violent, leaving one passenger with a fractured nose after being struck with a bottle and another man placed in a headlock. The British Transport Police (BTP) have now launched a public appeal, releasing CCTV images of three individuals they urgently wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
Details of the Onboard Assault
The disturbance erupted on board a train service travelling from Maidstone Barracks to Cuxton. It occurred at approximately 11.20pm on Friday, November 14. According to police reports, the altercation involved two men and two women on the Tonbridge to Gillingham service.
During the fight, the situation escalated dramatically. One of the male passengers was subjected to a chokehold, while a second man was hit over the head with a bottle. The bottle strike was severe enough to cause a fractured nose.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police stated: "Officers investigating an altercation on board a train from Maidstone Barracks to Cuxton are today releasing these CCTV images in connection. Officers believe the people in the images may have information which could help the investigation."
