West Midlands Police have charged four men and are appealing for the public's help to identify four more individuals following disorder after a Wolverhampton Wanderers match against Stoke City. The incident occurred on Lichfield Street after the game at Molineux on Saturday, 29 August.
Arrests and charges following the incident
The investigation into the disorder has so far led to five men being arrested in connection with the alleged incident. Of those five, four have now been charged, according to a spokesperson for West Midlands Police.
The force has released images of four men they wish to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries. Anyone who recognises the individuals has been asked to contact officers.
Police appeal for information
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Recognise any of these men? We’d like to speak to them about disorder after a Wolverhampton Wanderers match."
They added: "It happened after Wolves hosted Stoke at Molineux on Saturday 29 August. Disorder broke out on Lichfield Street, with fighting between groups and items being thrown."
Investigation continuing
The spokesperson continued: "Our investigation is continuing, and five men have so far been arrested with four having been charged."
They further stated: "As we continue our enquiries, we’re asking for the public’s help in identifying these men. If you recognise them or can help our investigation, call 101 or use Live Chat on our website quoting crime reference 20/380807/26, and the image number on the pictures."
The appeal comes as police continue to piece together the events that unfolded on Lichfield Street following the match, with items reportedly thrown during the disorder. The force has not disclosed the specific charges faced by the four men who have been charged.
