A woman in her 60s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car while crossing a road in Tipton on Christmas Day.
Christmas Morning Collision on Alexandra Road
The incident occurred at around 10am on Thursday, 25 December. The woman was walking across Alexandra Road in Tipton when she was hit by the vehicle.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the woman was taken to hospital for urgent treatment. The driver of the car involved stopped at the location and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Ongoing Investigation and Road Closure
The road was closed for a period to allow for investigation and recovery, with motorists advised to use alternative routes. As of Saturday, 27 December, the injured woman remained in hospital, where her condition was described as stable.
Her family are being supported by specialist police officers during this difficult time.
