West Midlands Police are investigating the unexplained death of a man whose body was discovered at a property in Birmingham.

Emergency services rushed to Roundlea Road in the Northfield area at approximately 11:15 AM on Monday, June 8. Paramedics attended the scene but were unable to save the man, who was pronounced dead at the location.

Police have stated that the death is currently being treated as unexplained, and officers are conducting further inquiries to determine the cause.

A local resident described the deceased as 'a lovely old man who would speak to everyone.' The resident added, 'We saw the private ambulance outside his house. It's so sad.'

Official Statements

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: 'We were called at just after 11:15 AM today to reports of a man's body at a property in Roundlea Road, Birmingham. The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and we are carrying out further enquiries.'

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: 'We were called to an incident at an address near to Lockwood Lane in Northfield, Birmingham, at 11:12 AM. We sent an ambulance and a Community First Responder to the scene. On arrival, crews found a man. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.'

The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
