Mohammed Hussain, a 27-year-old from Birmingham, has been charged in connection with a series of car thefts that left one owner injured. The charges include eight counts of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Details of the charges
Hussain also faces two additional driving offences: driving without insurance and driving while disqualified. The vehicles were stolen from addresses in Solihull, Birmingham, and Oldbury, with the thefts occurring since June 8. During one of the thefts in Solihull, a man was injured as his vehicle was stolen.
Arrest and court appearance
Hussain was arrested on Friday, July 17, and appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Monday, July 20. The case is ongoing as authorities continue to investigate the string of thefts.
