A two-year-old boy has sustained life-changing injuries following a dog attack in a pub beer garden in Wolstanton, North Staffordshire. The toddler, named Archie, underwent surgery at Royal Stoke University Hospital after the incident at The Wulstan pub on Wednesday, 15 July.
Dog Believed to Be Bulldog Breed
The dog involved is believed to have been 'some kind of Bulldog breed,' according to reports. Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the pub at 3:06 pm on 15 July. Officers are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
Fundraising Campaign Raises Over £1,400
An online fundraising campaign launched by grandmother Diane Barlow has collected over £1,400. Toys have also been donated to the family. The GoFundMe appeal states: 'Our beautiful, fun-loving little boy was recently the victim of a devastating dog attack, leaving him with life-changing injuries. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him through his recovery, but the emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming.'
The appeal adds: 'Mum Megan is currently unable to work while caring for Archie and with regular hospital trips, ongoing treatment, and everyday bills still needing to be paid, we are asking for your help. Any donation - no matter how small - will make a meaningful difference and help ease the financial pressure during this incredibly difficult time.'

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are urging witnesses to contact them by calling 101, quoting incident number 592 of 15 July, or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
