A 28-year-old woman has tragically died after being struck by a car in Birmingham city centre. The incident occurred on Dartmouth Middleway just before 2:30 am on Saturday, May 30.
Details of the Incident
The woman was hit by a black Audi RSQ8. Emergency services, including officers and ambulance crews from West Midlands Police, rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the location.
Arrest Made
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs. He remains in police custody for questioning as investigations continue.
