Bromsgrove Sporting FC has issued a warning about scam tickets circulating for its fan zone ahead of England's World Cup quarter-final against Norway on Saturday, July 11. The club announced that its outdoor fan zone has sold out within ten minutes of release, prompting concerns about fraudulent third-party sales.
Outdoor fan zone sells out rapidly
The UK Electrical Stadium-based club reported that the outdoor fan zone reached capacity quickly due to an email waitlist of previous attendees. In a social media statement, the club said: "The outdoor fan zone has sold out. Amazingly, and evidence of its overwhelming popularity, it sold out within ten minutes. This was due to people who had made previous bookings who were on an email waitlist, who duly bought the tables quickly."
Warning against third-party ticket purchases
The club specifically cautioned fans against buying tickets from unauthorized sources. "There have been reports of potential scam tickets available. Do not purchase any tickets via third party under any circumstances," the statement continued. The indoor fan zone remains open for the match, with details available through the club's official channels.
Earlier kick-off time for quarter-final
Unlike the 1am kick-off for England's previous match against Mexico, the Norway game will start at the more accessible time of 10pm. The club has been hosting fan zones throughout the World Cup and described the experience as "one hell of a journey." The club added: "After the success and scenes from our win over Mexico, we suggest you get your ticket quickly!"
