A content creator from Yorkshire has revealed the surprising highs and disappointing lows of eating nothing but Greggs for three consecutive days.
The Greggs-Only Marathon: A 72-Hour Feast
YouTuber Just Deano undertook the culinary challenge, consuming food solely from the popular bakery chain over a 72-hour period. The experiment, which took place in December 2025, saw him consume a staggering 5,358 calories and spend a total of £30.67.
His first day began with a sausage sandwich, hash browns, and orange juice for breakfast. Lunch was a Greggs festive bake from his freezer, and dinner consisted of a mature cheddar cheese ploughman's oval bite with fat-free Greek-style yoghurt.
On day two, he started with golden syrup porridge, had a sausage roll for lunch, and for his evening meal, he secured a bargain 'Too Good To Go' bag for just £2.99. This haul included a festive bake, a chicken bake, chicken and bacon pasta, pesto and mozzarella pasta, and an apple and strawberry fruit pot.
The final day commenced with a ham and cheese toastie. For lunch, he visited a Greggs in Huddersfield town centre for a chicken burger with wedges, and he ended his challenge with mac and cheese and mozzarella bites for dinner.
The Verdict: Surprise Winner and a 'Diabolical' Letdown
After his three-day Greggs diet, Deano was clear about his favourites and his biggest disappointment.
The standout winner was the ploughman's meal from his first day. "The more I ate of it, the better it were. It was absolutely beautiful," he said. He also praised the 'Too Good To Go' bag as the best value, calling the £2.99 price for two pastas, two bakes, and a fruit pot unbeatable.
However, one item received scathing criticism. The ham and cheese toastie, costing £3.65, was labelled the worst value and "absolutely diabolical." Upon unwrapping it, Deano declared it looked "pathetic" and criticised the meagre amount of cheese.
Even after cooking it in an air fryer, he was unimpressed. After tasting it, he said, "It is awfully dry... That is not worth £3.65, that is horrendous. I won't be buying that again." He suggested it needed a load of beans to improve it.
Other Highlights and Public Reaction
Deano had positive things to say about most other items. He described the southern fried chicken burger as "absolutely beautiful" and reaffirmed the classic appeal of a Greggs sausage roll, even cold, stating, "You can't beat a sausage roll."
Following the video's release on his YouTube channel, viewers shared their thoughts. One commented on the challenge's difficulty, saying, "Fair play mate. I couldn't have lived on just that, not enough food for me." Another praised the value of the 'Too Good To Go' bag, calling it a "good haul for £3."
Deano's experiment offers a detailed, if extreme, snapshot of the value and variety offered by the high-street bakery, crowned by a ploughman's surprise and sunk by a dry toastie.
