Brentwood Connected Hosts Free Easter Bunny Trail for Families

Brentwood Connected, the Business Improvement District (BID) serving Brentwood, Shenfield, and Ingatestone, is launching a free Easter Bunny Trail throughout April. This festive event offers families a chance to explore all three high streets during the school holidays while competing for exciting prizes.

Giant Bunnies and Hidden Eggs to Discover

From April 3 to 26, ten giant Easter bunnies will be displayed in local businesses, each uniquely decorated and named by schools and community groups from the borough. Participating businesses include Caffé Piccolo, Delaney’s, Fashion Avenue, foureighty, Hilbery Chaplin, Megan’s Classy Nails, Pets Corner, Ravens Bakery, The Lounge, and The Strand.

Schools involved in the bunny decorations are Brentwood Preparatory School, Endeavour Co-Operative Academy, Holly Trees, Hutton All Saints C of E Primary School, Ingatestone & Fryerning Junior School, Larchwood, St. Helen’s Catholic Junior School Academy, St. Thomas of Canterbury Juniors, Shenfield St. Mary’s C of E Primary School, and the Ukrainian Community Brentwood.

In a new addition this year, local artist Jill Busby of Hive Art Studio has painted over thirty Easter eggs hidden in business windows across the three town centres. These secret locations add an extra layer of fun for participants.

Prizes and Free Event Days

Visitors who complete the Easter Bunny Trail by finding the bunnies and spotting at least five eggs will be entered to win prizes such as Jellycat toys, vouchers, and gift bundles from local businesses. Additional rewards include luxury Easter eggs and toys.

Three free Easter Event Days are scheduled during the trail, featuring meet-and-greet sessions with the Easter Bunny character and Easter craft activities. These events will run from 10am to 3pm on:

  • Saturday, April 4, in Brentwood
  • Thursday, April 9, in Shenfield
  • Friday, April 10, in Ingatestone

Community and Business Engagement

Sarah Walmsley, Brentwood Connected BID Manager, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "The Easter Bunny Trail is the perfect opportunity for families to come out during the holidays and enjoy everything our town centres have to offer. This year, we've extended the trail and added painted eggs, providing more time and places to visit." She encouraged everyone to "love local" and participate for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

Emma Taylor, Branch Manager at Hilbery Chaplin in Shenfield, added, "We are excited to be involved in each and every Brentwood Connected event. It's great to be part of something that brings the community together and allows us to interact with local people and businesses."

Event Details and Participation

All activities are free, funded by Brentwood Connected member businesses. Easter Bunny Trail maps are available on the Brentwood Connected website, at participating venues, and during the Easter Event Days. Brentwood Connected is a unique BID funded by town centre businesses to enhance the experience for residents, visitors, employees, and businesses in the area.
