Queen's Park in Loughborough is set to be transformed into a vibrant spectacle of light, sound, and performance for the debut Light Nights festival, organised by Charnwood Borough Council. Across three consecutive evenings, attendees will be treated to an enchanting illumination trail, magical street theatre, interactive installations, and live musical performances, creating a memorable community experience.
A Dazzling Illumination Trail and Captivating Performances
The illumination trail commences at the Granby Street entrance adjacent to Charnwood Museum, leading visitors on a journey through the park to discover a series of mesmerising light displays. Street theatre provided by Activate Performing Arts will infuse the event with a sense of wonder and theatricality, while the internationally acclaimed Spark! by Worldbeaters Music, renowned as the original LED drummers, will deliver high-impact performances brimming with rhythm and vivid colour.
Interactive Fun and Festive Amenities
Visitors can engage with the BoomBike, a unique electrical tricycle projection by Sound Intervention, and enjoy complimentary face painting and a silent disco with free headphones provided. The lower section of Granby Street car park will host fairground rides and a variety of food and drink stalls, with Olivia's Café remaining open throughout the event to offer refreshments.

Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, lead member for Economic Development, Regeneration and Town Centres, commented: "Queen's Park will shine brightly with lights, theatre, and a silent disco for everyone to enjoy.
