Young music lovers in West Yorkshire are being invited to join a special summer holiday club run by a popular youth choir, offering a day packed with games, songs, and music-making in a supportive environment.
The Summer Singers Holiday Club, organised by Huddersfield Choral Youth Choirs, is designed to boost confidence and help children forge new friendships through the joy of group singing. Children aged seven and above will work alongside experienced leaders on a selection of upbeat tunes and musical activities.
A Choir with a Rich Heritage
Established in 1986, the choir group has built a strong reputation for musical excellence across the region. Under the guidance of musical director Colleen Brown, the ensemble performs an eclectic repertoire for local audiences, and the holiday club aims to give a taste of that experience.
Colleen Brown, musical director, said: "This is a wonderful way for young singers to get a taste of what being part of our choir is all about. We hope they’ll enjoy the day so much that they feel inspired to come back and join us regularly, building their confidence, making lasting friendships and developing their love of singing."

Regular term-time rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings across three age-specific choir sections at the venue, offering a pathway for young singers to continue their musical journey beyond the summer.
