Actress and comedian Emily Atack has married her partner, scientist Dr Alistair Garner, in a ceremony she described as "absolutely perfect." The 36-year-old, known for her roles in Rivals and The Inbetweeners, announced the news on Instagram on Sunday, the day after exchanging vows in front of close friends and family.
The couple, who have known each other since childhood, reconnected in 2022. They welcomed their son Barney in the summer of 2024.
A Personal and Intimate Celebration
For the occasion, Emily wore a simple white dress with a plunging neckline, paired with a long veil that flowed into a lace bottom. She carried a bouquet of white flowers. Alistair opted for a black suit with a patterned tie and brown shoes.
The wedding reportedly featured a personalised McDonald’s van serving McFlurries, adding a playful touch to the celebrations. Photos shared by the couple showed them surrounded by friends and family throwing confetti, as well as moments of them kissing in front of a classic car and enjoying a glass of wine.
A Second Ceremony Planned in Spain
In her Instagram post, Emily wrote: "Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect. I can’t believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don’t we @dralistairgarner."
It is understood that a second ceremony will take place in Spain, where Emily spent family holidays growing up. Speaking to Luxury London Magazine, she previously said: "I think I’ve nailed it. We’re getting married in September. I’ve very much enjoyed the planning process." She added: "Choosing napkins and stuff. I’m like, 'My God, my life is here!'".

Well-wishes flooded social media following the announcement. Fearne Cotton wrote: "Love you both so much." Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jess Wright commented: "Awwww incredible Ems!!!!!!!!
