Marks & Spencer shoppers are praising a new £30 leg serum from PRAI that blurs imperfections, hydrates dry skin, and leaves legs looking glowy, with a consumer trial showing 81% of women felt confident enough to show their legs after using it, compared with just 12.5% before.
The PRAI Ageless Leg Perfecting Serum is now available at M&S, following the brand's research which found that 70% of women lack confidence to bare their legs, and 63% actively avoid wearing shorts. Concerns include dry skin, visible veins, uneven skin tone, and loss of firmness.
How the serum works
Unlike conventional body makeup or fake tan, the serum combines instant cosmetic benefits with long-term skincare ingredients. It contains Syn-Coll peptides to stimulate collagen production, Sepilift to target elasticity, and hyaluronic acid, PRAI oil, and grape seed oil for hydration and antioxidant protection.
Applying a similar principle to illuminating face primers, it includes light-reflecting mica and iron oxides for an instant, natural-looking radiance that disguises imperfections. The tint is temporary, works for all skin tones, and rinses off in the shower, making it ideal for weddings, holidays, and summer outings.
Trial results and customer reviews
In PRAI's consumer trial involving 26 women, 73% observed more even-toned legs immediately after application. The formula is more affordable than similar products, such as This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle at £45 and Vita Liberata Body Blur Light at £33 for 100ml at Boots.
Early reviews on the M&S website are encouraging. One customer wrote: "I am so impressed by this leg serum. It makes my legs look really glowing and hydrated, I've lost the dry, crepey looking skin on my shins and there's no need to fake tan. It is so easy to use."
A 75-year-old customer said: "Super for creating a healthy look on the skin. I am 75 and have many blemishes and find this just gives a subtle coverage and is in no way orange." Another added: "This is such a helpful product for when you want to wear a summer dress or pair of shorts but don't feel summer-ready. It instantly gave my legs a glowy tint of colour, while leaving my skin soft and smooth."
Mixed feedback and availability
Some customers were less impressed with the serum's consistency, leaving a four-star review. One said: "I liked the instant natural colour it gave to my skin and the streak free regular finish. It certainly blurred imperfections. I haven't noticed any colour transfer on my clothes. The 4* was that I found the texture to be a bit heavy compared to smooth body moisturisers. I didn't get that luxurious feel. Having said that, I liked the finished look and will be buying more."
A five-star review stated: "Hate my legs so thought I'd give it a try, very impressed. Good coverage, nice colour and goes on well. Prefer it to gradual tan as I don't get awful brown knees. Feel like I could wear shorts now." Another long-time PRAI user noted: "I have used other Prai products particularly the neck cream for many years which I rate as excellent so I was very interested to try this. I've found it really good for improving the look of the skin in my legs, lifting the colour just enough and blurring imperfections."
The PRAI Ageless Leg Perfecting Serum is available on the M&S website for £30.
