A new Pop Mart shop is set to open within a popular Merry Hill store, marking its first appearance in the Black Country shopping centre. The Pop Mart Robo Shop will operate within The Entertainer as an interactive vending machine filled with Labubu, Molly, Hirono, and SKULLPANDA collectibles.
Global Phenomenon Comes to Merry Hill
Pop Mart attracted giant queues when it first opened within Birmingham's Bullring centre, and its Robo Shop inside Selfridges frequently sold out of blind boxes. The Merry Hill Pop Mart Robo Shop officially opens on Friday, May 22, and will be stocked with limited edition toys. This is another boost for fans of cute collectables, following last week's news that Miniso is set to open at Merry Hill as well.
Labubus in particular became a global phenomenon last year when people of all ages were seen sporting the 'monster' dolls. Celebrities like Rihanna and Dua Lipa helped popularise them, and the world rushed to get mystery boxes containing the figures, which were traded, hung on designer handbags, and stashed in toy boxes across Britain.
The Entertainer Leads Pop Mart Retail
The Entertainer says it is now the UK's biggest retailer stocking Pop Mart, with 11 other stores across the chain's network set to welcome Pop Mart Robo Shops. Locations include Lakeside, Brighton, Newcastle Metro, Glasgow St Enoch, Sheffield Meadowhall, Bristol Cribbs, Manchester Arndale, Belfast, Cambridge, Leeds, and Cardiff, with one already operating in Bluewater shopping centre.
