Recent reports have claimed that Oasis are planning a 12-night residency at Etihad Stadium, the home of Liam and Noel Gallagher's team, Manchester City. It was just a year ago when the pair reunited on the stage for Oasis Live '25, kicking-off a record breaking world tour.
Etihad Stadium's Return to Live Music
Etihad Stadium recently saw the return of live music following a three-year absence, making it an apparent no-brainer that the brothers would want to perform there. According to Manchester Evening News, a number of sources close to the club and promoters have told them that 12 nights could be announced later this summer.
Opportunity for Birmingham Fans
For Brummies, if confirmed, it would be another chance to see Oasis on stage, especially after the band skipped the second city during their reunion tour. Back then, Manchester was the closest option for Birmingham locals to see the pair play, and it could be again. Luckily, Etihad Stadium is relatively close, at just 1 hour and 50 minutes by train, or 2 hours and 20 minutes by car.
Liam Gallagher's Social Media Hints
The closest to a confirmation that this will actually happen came on social media, when Liam posted on X: "Everytime I've been to Mexico everyone's been lovely I don't get all this bad attitude nonsense it'll be fine." A fan jumped on the opportunity to ask about the rumours, to which he responded: "12 I thought it was 10 ffs". Liam was then asked about the official Oasis documentary trailer being released and in classic fashion, he responded: "I've seen it I'm arsed now it's all about Mexico v England." He then responded to a fan who said he wouldn't go to an Oasis concert next year because of Liam's England football allegiances. Liam said: "You saying that now but soon as we announce the gig nxt wk I mean nxt year I mean happy Christmas you'll be running around like headless chickens trying to get a ticket so stop acting tuff gong."
