The Lost Village Festival is set to make its highly anticipated return to Lincolnshire this summer, marking its 11th edition. The four-day event, which has become a staple of the region's cultural calendar, will take place from August 27 to August 30 in Norton Disney, North Kesteven.
Economic Boost Confirmed
Organisers have revealed that the festival generated a substantial economic contribution of £2.25 million to Lincolnshire during its previous run. Of this, £1.25 million was spent directly with local suppliers, representing a £250,000 increase compared to the year before. The event also created approximately 50 volunteer and work experience roles, offering local people valuable industry skills.
North Kesteven District Council has welcomed the festival back, highlighting its success in boosting the local economy and its positive relationship with authorities over noise management and resident support.
Council and Organiser Statements
Councillor Richard Wright, leader of North Kesteven District Council, said: "The Council welcomes the contribution Lost Village makes to the economy and place, and we have worked hard with them to ensure the event has become a big success, whilst raising awareness of North Kesteven."
He added: "The figures in their latest Community Impact Report showcase the importance of the event to the local community and economy, and supporting local causes, and we are proud to support Lost Village."
Ben Atkins, one of the Lost Village directors, said: "Through our Community Impact Fund, Lost Village has been able to support a range of local causes, including funding for local schools, community arts initiatives, sports teams, cultural programs and even speed signage, with the total funding in the calendar year approaching £100,000."
