Phyllis Tuckwell opens larger Camberley shop on August 14
New larger Phyllis Tuckwell shop opens in Camberley

Phyllis Tuckwell, the local hospice charity, is set to open the doors to a brand new, significantly larger high street store in Camberley on Friday, August 14, at 10am. The upgraded premises, located right in the heart of the town centre, offers a major upgrade from the charity's previous Camberley site, providing ample floor space to showcase preloved furniture, wall art, and soft furnishings for the very first time.

Expanded retail space and new product ranges

The new store will feature a dedicated furniture section, a first for the charity's Camberley operations. Alongside this, visitors can browse an ever-changing stock of quality preloved clothing, shoes, accessories, books, CDs, DVDs, and homeware. This gives locals the perfect chance to snag a bargain while raising vital funds for community care.

Barry Young, head of retail at Phyllis Tuckwell, expressed enthusiasm about the move: “We’re thrilled to be moving our Camberley shop to this fantastic, large location right in the centre of the town. It will stock a great range of high quality, preloved items which have been donated by our generous supporters, so do come along and have a browse, and if you have any items you would like to donate, please do bring them along too!”

Volunteer opportunities and donation appeal

The Camberley shop is actively seeking volunteers to help sort, price, and sell its preloved stock. The charity welcomes anyone with a few hours to spare, offering a role where volunteers can meet new people, use old skills, and learn new ones, all while supporting an important local charity. Those interested can visit www.pth.org.uk/support-us/volunteer, call 01252 729400, or email voluntary.services@pth.org.uk for more information.

Phyllis Tuckwell's shops raise a substantial amount of money to help fund specialist end of life care for patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness. The charity helps manage symptoms, ease pain, support emotional and practical needs, and make care easier to understand for patients and their loved ones.

Store hours and network of shops

The new Camberley shop will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm Mondays to Saturdays. It is one of 19 shops that the charity operates across its catchment area. To find the nearest location, visit www.pth.org.uk/shop/highstreet/find-a-shop.
