Pippatopia, a children's role play cafe in Smethwick, has been described as a 'sanctuary' for both kids and parents. Unlike typical role play venues, this centre offers a unique twist with multi-functional spaces that transform to keep the experience fresh and engaging.
A World of Imagination
Upon entering Pippatopia, visitors find a miniature town complete with a fire station, post office, salon, vets, hospital, and construction site. However, many areas serve dual purposes. A castle leads into an enchanted forest, a two-storey home called 'Wendy's House' connects a living room to a kitchen, and a sensory snug can be reconfigured into different environments.
Ever-Changing Pop-Up Shop
Owner Rachel Butler has introduced a 'pop-up shop' that rotates themes to maintain novelty for returning guests. Currently set up as a gym with yoga mats and resistance bands, it will soon transform into a mechanic's garage and later a science lab, reflecting Rachel's background as a former science teacher.
More Than Just Play
Pippatopia caters to the whole family. Rachel hosts yoga classes for mums and babies, breastfeeding support groups, and sleep specialist talks. She is also installing a food bank and a swap shop for clothes and books. Future plans include art and music classes for children and parents.
This hidden gem offers a welcoming environment where families can play, learn, and connect. For more information, follow Brummie Mummies on Facebook and Instagram, sign up for their newsletter, or listen to their podcasts for updates on activities in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
