Spring Lunchtime Concert Series Continues with Accordion Virtuoso Rosemary Wright in Hinckley
The vibrant spring season of lunchtime concerts at St. Mary's Church in Hinckley town centre is set to captivate audiences once again, this time featuring the celebrated accordionist Rosemary Wright taking centre stage. This event promises to be a highlight for music lovers in the community.
Rosemary Wright's Diverse Musical Repertoire
Rosemary Wright will present a concert that covers her wide and varied repertoire, ranging from classical pieces and accordion classics to some lighter numbers designed to suit all musical tastes. Her performance is expected to showcase her exceptional talent and years of experience in the music industry.
A Lifetime of Musical Achievement
Rosemary gave her first public performance at the tender age of five, and since then, she has appeared in numerous concerts across England, Scotland, the Channel Islands, and Malta. Her career as a successful teacher of the accordion began in 1968, and this experience proved invaluable in her former role as an examiner for the principal of the British College of Accordionists.
Notably, she was the first person to gain all three diplomas from the British College of Accordionists. Additionally, she holds diplomas in Clarinet Performance and Theoretical Studies, and has studied a wide range of instrumental and musical subjects to an advanced level, making her a highly respected figure in the musical community.
Event Details for the SMARTS Concert
Her concert for SMARTS (St. Mary's Arts) will be held at St. Mary's Church in Hinckley on Wednesday, April 1, starting at 1pm and lasting approximately 50 minutes. This provides a perfect midday break for attendees to enjoy live music in a serene setting.
Admission on the door is priced at £4.50 for adults and £1 for students and children, with cash-only payments requested. Refreshments will be available in the church coffee bar before the concert, allowing guests to socialise and prepare for the performance.
