Kairen, a seven-year-old pupil from Birmingham, is set to make television history as the youngest ever contestant on Channel 4's hit show The Piano. The show, which returns for its second series, features amateur pianists performing on public pianos in train stations across the UK.

Kairen, who attends a primary school in Birmingham, will appear in the upcoming series and has already impressed producers with his remarkable skill. His mother, speaking to BirminghamWorld, said: "We are incredibly proud of Kairen. He has been playing the piano since he was just three years old, and his passion for music is truly inspiring."
The young pianist will perform at a secret location, with the episode set to air later this year. The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and featuring judges including pop star Mika and pianist Lang Lang, has become a ratings hit for Channel 4.
A Rising Star from Birmingham
Kairen's talent was discovered by his music teacher, who encouraged him to audition for the show. According to his mother, Kairen practices for at least an hour every day and has already passed his Grade 1 exam with distinction. "He loves playing classical pieces, especially Chopin and Beethoven," she added.
