Birmingham's Snoopy Trail: Free Family Fun with 12 Sculptures This Summer
Birmingham's Snoopy Trail: Free Family Fun This Summer

The Snoopy in Birmingham Trail is now open, offering families a free summer adventure across the city centre. Running from July 9 to September 1, 2026, the trail features 12 brightly painted doghouses featuring the beloved cartoon beagle, created by Charles M Schulz. Each sculpture is designed by a local artist, celebrating the 75th anniversary of Snoopy's first appearance in the Peanuts comic strip.

Trail Locations and Details

The sculptures are placed at key locations including New Street Station, Great Western Arcade, Piccadilly Arcade, Grand Central, Bullring, Selfridges, Burlington Arcade, John Bright Street, the Mailbox, Birmingham Town Hall, Corporation Street, and Staybridge Suites. A free map, available in print or digital download from the Central BID Birmingham website, guides visitors to each spot and includes fun quizzes.

Created by Central BID Birmingham and art producer Wild in Art, the trail supports Midlands-based Acorns Children's Hospice. Funds raised will provide short breaks, therapeutic support, sibling care, emergency and end-of-life care, and bereavement support for local children and families.

Sam Watson, Chair of Central BID Birmingham, said: “It’s wonderful to bring the Snoopy trail to Birmingham as he’s such a well-loved and world-renowned character with a special place in many people’s hearts. These free sculpture trails are a great way for families and other visitors to explore central Birmingham and see all that it has to offer.”

An Acorns Children's Hospice spokesperson added: “We're delighted to be working with Central BID Birmingham on the Snoopy's Summer Trail. Partnerships like this bring communities together in a fun and engaging way, while also helping to raise awareness of the vital care Acorns Children's Hospice provides to local children and families. We hope the trail encourages people to explore the city, enjoy everything Birmingham has to offer and, if they can, support Acorns along the way.”
