The Disney Store is set to make a permanent return to Birmingham's Bullring, five years after its standalone shop closed in 2021. Following a successful temporary festive collaboration with Selfridges last year, the Disney concession will now become a permanent fixture within the department store.
New Permanent Location
According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, the Disney Shop will open in both the Trafford Centre and Bullring Selfridges locations in mid-July. The concession will offer official merchandise from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, including items previously only available online or at London's Disney Store.
Shoppers can expect a curated range of clothing, plushies, accessories, collectibles, stationery, and roleplay-inspired collections, along with seasonal launches and exclusive items. Dedicated Disney fitting rooms will also be available.
Patrick Segar, global general manager and vice president of retail marketing for Disney Store, said: "Disney Store is more than just a place to shop – it is a destination where fans can celebrate their love for Disney and immerse themselves in the wonder of storytelling through curated products, immersive retail environments and memorable experiences."
Other Bullring Changes
The Bullring is also seeing other retail changes. Lovisa has reopened on the lower ground floor in the former Claire's Accessories unit after six months closed. Claire's moved two doors down but closed shortly after due to administration. Another Australian jewellery brand, Harli and Harpa, founded by Lovisa's former boss, will take over that empty space.
Upstairs, a new New Balance branch is set to open, while Breitling will close its boutique. That unit is expected to merge with the former Clarks shop next door to create a larger store. Similarly, the old Kate Spade unit will merge with Dr Martens, which has moved into a shop space opposite its previous location.
