GCSE students across Birmingham and the West Midlands collecting their grades on Thursday August 20 can take advantage of a range of free and discounted food offers from major restaurant chains including Nando's, Wingstop, Las Iguanas, Pizza Express and Bella Italia.
Results will be available from 8am on Thursday August 20, 2026. The offers are designed both for those celebrating strong results and for those wanting to cheer up a friend who did not get the grades they hoped for.
Nando's, Itsu and Wingstop offers
Nando's is offering a free quarter chicken or any starter when students show their grades and student ID, and spend £7 or more at the till on Thursday August 20.
Itsu will give students a free tray of steamed chicken or vegetable gyoza served with dipping sauce, upon showing results dated 2026.
Wingstop is offering 15% off the total bill when students show their GCSE results.
Italian and Mexican restaurant deals
Ask Italian is offering a free main meal when students take their results slip. The catch is that they must bring a parent, who will have to answer an exam question. As a reward for the parent, they can also receive a free glass of fizz.
Bella Italia is offering a free starter and dessert for every person who buys a main, when one guest shows proof of exam results.
Las Iguanas requires students to sign up on the website to receive a unique code. Taking the code along with their results allows them to get a free starter and dessert with any main meal.
Pizza Express is offering unlimited pizza and dough balls for 90 minutes at a cost of £12.50.
Burger, Thai and dessert offers
Byron Burger is offering a buy one get one free deal across three burgers: Double Smash, Chicken Ranch, Signature Smokey or V-Rex.
Frankie and Benny's requires students to sign up for a voucher and show their results to get a free starter and dessert when they buy an adult main meal.
Rosa's Thai is offering a free pad Thai when students sign up for a voucher and buy a bubble tea for £6.
Bill's is offering a free dessert from 11:30am on results day when students buy a main meal. Students must bring their physical results slip to redeem this offer.
