The Birmingham beer hall with a large World Cup screen is serving up two favourite foods in one. It is the taproom's first World Cup in the new beer hall, and the atmosphere is electric.
Inside the Indian Brewery Taproom
As England gears up for its first World Cup match of the tournament, you might be wondering where to go to catch the action on the big screen. While we put together a big list of options for you to consider, there is one brilliant option on it that is accepting walk-ins, and the atmosphere is going to be electric.
This year is the first major tournament for the Indian Brewery Taproom, which opened on Mary Ann Street in the Jewellery Quarter at the tail end of 2024. Situated on the corner of Livery Street, it is a short stroll away from St Paul's tram stop.
The Indian Brewery Taproom is known for serving up fresh, crisp pints, but it is the food option that really gets people talking. Their Indian pizzas get rave reviews for their flavourful toppings and bubbly naan-like bases, an ideal option if you cannot decide on a curry or a pizza during the big game.
Beer Hall Atmosphere
The taproom is set out like a huge European beer hall, with loads of space to jump with joy when the lads start racking up group points in these early World Cup stages. They will be screening England v Croatia tonight (Wednesday, June 17) as well as the match against Ghana on Tuesday, June 23 and that against Panama on Saturday, June 27. You can book tables in advance, but they are accepting walk-ins where capacity allows.
