Fans have reacted with delight after the actors playing Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda the Musical were spotted on a shopping spree at Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre. The stars, currently performing at the Birmingham Hippodrome, took a tour of the iconic retail destination for a date night.

The pair were seen at various locations throughout the shopping centre, including TOCA Social, Grand Central, and across the high street. The Bullring's official Instagram account shared the sighting, writing: "When in Brum... where better for date night than Bullring?"
The post continued: "Even Mr. & Mrs. Wormwood couldn’t resist a little shopping, great food and a night out together... although we’re not convinced they agreed on everything . You can catch everyone’s favourite (or should we say least favourite?) parents in Matilda The Musical, now showing at Birmingham Hippodrome."
