NKRadio Launches as Hyper-Local Digital Station in North Kesteven

A brand new digital community radio station dedicated to the heart of the district is set to launch this weekend. NKRadio will officially go live on Sunday, May 3, providing a fresh and authentic voice for the North Kesteven community.

While many regional broadcasting services have become increasingly centralised, NKRadio is moving in the opposite direction. Rhian Williams, founder of NKRadio, said: "We are a hyper-local, non-profit social enterprise broadcasting directly from the homes of our volunteers across Sleaford, North Hykeham, and the surrounding villages."

What the Launch Brings

24/7 Digital Broadcasting

The station will be accessible around the clock via NKRadio.co.uk and the Live365 app, ensuring listeners can tune in anytime, anywhere.

A Platform for Local Voices

The team is already working with local volunteers to bring grassroots news, music, and discussion back to the district. This initiative aims to highlight the stories and talents that often go unheard in mainstream media.

Community Connection

NKRadio's mission is to celebrate the unique identity of North Kesteven and provide a voice for local charities and small businesses. By focusing on hyper-local content, the station hopes to strengthen community bonds and foster a sense of belonging.
