Poms Brunch, a specialist brunch café known for its 'extraordinary' food, is opening its fourth Midlands venue in Sutton Coldfield's Gracechurch Shopping Centre this summer. The café, which originated in Lichfield and expanded to Barton Marina and Ashbourne in Derbyshire, will serve signature breakfasts, brunches, sweet and savoury lunch treats, as well as an extensive drinks menu including wine, beer, and cocktails.
Menu Highlights
Poms' tagline is 'every bite tells a story', and the menu reflects this with a variety of offerings. Breakfast options include the Classic Brunch featuring Packington sausages, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, egg, muffin, and hash browns. Deli sandwiches range from crayfish, prawn, and crab to chicken schnitzel and beetroot falafel. For those with a sweet tooth, American breakfasts combine pancakes with sausage, egg, bacon, and potato tots, topped with maple syrup. Other dishes include Manor Farm (near Tamworth) Strawberry Pancakes and Chicken French Toast.
The café also offers a range of Poms Soft Serve ice creams with sundaes, cones, and tubs. It caters to gluten-free and vegan customers with special menus, and provides dogs and kids' menus. Outside catering is available with per-person price lists for grazing buffets and takeaway brunches.
Location and Seating
The Sutton Coldfield venue will occupy the section that previously housed Ted's Potatoes outdoor cabin. An image on the Sutton Coldfield page shows a large outdoor seating area, suggesting ample space for al fresco dining.

Customer Reviews
Online reviews on Google are generally positive. Seren commented: "Went here on Wednesday! Food was absolutely extraordinary, drinks were lush and the service was even better! We had a lovely lady serve us." Teresa Marshall said: "Great food and the service was excellent. Shout out to Millie for being the best waitress." John Gregory added: "Fantastic cafe, varied menu that caters for all persons. Great service throughout."
However, a dissenting voice came from Jane G, who felt the food was overpriced. She said: "Food was so expensive for the small portion. The cured meat platter was very disappointing for £19. Just 2 pieces of sourdough bread and a couple of slices of meat, it came out on a very small plate. Felt ripped off for spending over £100 on four small lunches!"
Poms responded to Jane's feedback, thanking her and stating: "We have since revised our food menus and the cured meat and antipasti plates will be removed from the offerings. We do strive to keep costs of menu items as low as possible but still reflective of their quality as well as being in line with other local eateries offering up a similar dining experience. We do hope that this hasn't deterred you from a return visit with us soon Jane and thanks again for leaving us some feedback."
