Tip Top Productions is reviving its acclaimed musical theatre spectacular 'The Show Must Go On' at The Hammond in Chester from Thursday, August 13 to Saturday, August 15, featuring songs from smash-hit West End and Broadway musicals.
Return by popular demand
Following a sell-out debut at Theatr Clwyd in 2021, the Chester and Wrexham-based community theatre company is bringing the show back by popular demand. The production follows the company's critically acclaimed performances of 'Come From Away' at Storyhouse in Chester and 'The Full Monty' at Theatr Clwyd earlier this year.
Described as a love letter to the West End and Broadway, the show will run at 7.30pm on all three evenings, with an additional matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday, August 15.
A celebration of musical theatre
Packed with unforgettable songs, spectacular dance numbers, and outstanding performances, this two-hour musical compilation celebrates some of the greatest musicals of all time. Audiences can expect favourites from the brand-new smash hit 'Paddington', as well as 'Shrek', 'Oliver!', 'Six', 'Legally Blonde', 'West Side Story', 'The Greatest Showman', and many more, performed by talented youth and adult members of Tip Top Productions.
Bringing together performers of all ages, the show showcases the passion, creativity, and talent that Tip Top Productions is known for. With more than two hours of live entertainment, the production promises an evening of iconic songs, brilliant choreography, and memorable moments for the whole family.

The show is produced and directed by Luke Disley, Robert Lyon, and Rhian Lyon, with musical direction by Wendy Dickinson and choreography by Rhian Lyon, Joni Rusling, Dani O'Meara, and Ell Smith. The creative team has crafted a dynamic production blending stunning choreography, powerful vocals, and memorable musical theatre moments.
